Bakatheer is a digital tribute to the renowned writer Ali Ahmed Bakatheer. The goal was to build a website where readers and researchers anywhere in the world can explore his books, poems, articles, and life story. TeamX designed and developed the platform in English and Arabic, with a searchable archive, downloadable content, a researchers’ corner, and an admin portal that lets the team keep adding to the collection for years to come.
Services

The archive covers a huge amount of material: books, poems, articles, memories, testimonials, lectures, theses, audio, and video. Organising it so visitors can find things quickly, in two languages, was the main design task. On the technical side, the frontend, the admin portal, and the APIs had to work together without gaps. Every subdomain needed SSL protection, and each domain had to point to the right server so the site never went down. The platform also had to be ready to grow, since new content keeps coming in.
The project initiated with wireframes and prototypes, based on client feedback so the design stayed true to Bakatheer’s legacy.
Simple, clear layouts were designed for browsing a large archive, with English and Arabic versions planned side by side from the start.
The platform was built with Node.js and served through Nginx for fast, steady performance. Docker and Docker Compose package every service, which makes deployment simple and keeps the setup ready to scale. SSL certificates are issued and renewed automatically with Certbot to avoid security lapses.
